Photograph of an exterior view of the observation tower of the F. M. Smith residence in Oakland, ca.1910. A small driveway in the center foreground leads to the manicured yard where the tall observation tour stands. Various trees hang over from either side of the tower. The base has a brick archway while stairs climb the wooden tower above. The stairs reach the shaded walkway near the dome top.
