Photograph caption dated February 6, 1962 reads, "The new Valley Corps of the Salvation Army at 14933 Victory Blvd., Van Nuys, will get a landscaping by the West Valley Garden Club. Mrs. Harmon Reeder, left, president of the club; Sr. Maj. E. H. Welder, corps officer, and Mrs. Rene Levy, who donated plants and shrubbery, look over landscaping plans for the project. The club has undertaken the landscaping as a civic beautification and community project."
