In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. C, leaf 30.
Street view which recedes into distance; above street hangs a traffic light; on right side foreground building rises out of photo and on corner of it is "Santa Fe"; further down right side is a "Drugstore" and "Hotel" identified by signs; only "Santa Fe" is located in building on the corner; on left side of street stands on the corner "Central Drug Store C L Kohl" identified by a perpendicular sign; beyond it is a "Jeweler" and beyond that the "Hotel Argus" all identified by signs; on right side cars parked into distance & on right out of photo.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
