Men on the Protector submarine at sea, coming out of the hatch, ca. 1902. [This was a pioneer submarine torpedo boat of the Lake level-keel type, built by the Lake Torpedo Boat Company in Bridgeport, Connecticut 1901-1902.] Some spotting on image.
