Description
Photograph snipe reads, “A family living in an abandoned barber shop in Little Tokyo was paid a surprise visit today by Mayor Fletcher Bowron as he participated with other city and civic officials in a drive to eliminate bad housing and health conditions. Shown with the Mayor at 513 E. First St. are Mrs. Lenis Perkins, wife of an installer at Lockhead, and her two children.” Photo date stamped May 27, 1944.
