Description
Pictured in 1939, at the corner of Eleventh and N Streets are the Lewis Apartments. Built in 1926 for 350,000 dollars by Manuel and Anna Lewis, the seven floor, 38-unit structure contained apartments of two, three and four rooms. The architect was George Sellon while the contractor was the Sacramento- based William C. Keating Construction Company. The structure’s perimeter was built to be 80 feet by 80 feet and its architectural style was coined to be of fifteenth-century Italian Renaissance accents, with French-style windows.
