Description
Photograph of the south veranda of Camulos Ranch, Ventura County, California, ca.1905. The covered veranda is supported by 5 wooden posts and is set back even with the plane of the house wall in the foreground. The roof is tiled. Several bushes and trees grow adjacent to the house or fence across the narrow dirt yard. The ranch was made famous as a locale in the novel "Ramona" by Helen Hunt Jackson.
