Description: Interior view of the library on the new U.C.L.A. Westwood campus in 1930. The building is now named the Lawrence Clark Powell Library. The great amount of skilled hand work needed for the detailed tile and brick work of the Lombard style of architecture made it impossible to continue in the same architectural tradition when costs rose after World War II. View 2: shows the interior of the entry lobby and the stairwell at the Powell Library. Building was built 1927-29 in a Italian (Lombard) Romanesque Revival style, designed by architect George W. Kelham.
