Photograph article dated August 13, 1962 partially reads, "Most likely when Bill Rigney accepted the position as manager of the freshly-whelped Los Angeles Angels winter before last he must have figured it would be five or six years before the pressure of a pennant race would cause his stomach to churn. But Sunday afternoon at Chavez Ravine his Angels, miraculously in second place, blew a game to Minnesota, 5-3, and there was that old queasy feeling - the one he used to get when he was in charge of the slightly hesitant San Francisco Giants." Photograph caption reads, "Angels' Leon Wagner, right, legs it out at first base in eighth inning. Vic Power, Twins first sacker, leaps high for wild throw."
