Photograph caption dated August 31, 1949 reads "Petite Mrs. Shirley Wood, 29, shows how she used policeman-husband's big .38 revolver to capture prowler suspect at Valley home. She marched the man a quarter of a mile at gunpoint to telephone for help." The article partially reads "Mrs. Shirley Wood, whose husband is a Hollywood Division officer, said she saw a man in her back yard at 14350 Burton St., Van Nuys, about 3 a.m. today."; See images #00132787 through #00132789 for all photos in this series.
