Photograph caption dated February 17, 1965 reads, "Robbery suspect, Craig S. Norton, left, casts a dejected eye as he follows police Sgt. Detective P. J. Long through the Van Nuys Court." The article partially reads, "A young maintenance man, with a flair for the not-too-original, was arraigned yesterday in Van Nuys Municipal Court on a charge of grand theft....Norton, who told police he spent 16 hours bound and gagged while two men looted almost a dozen cash registers in Bullock's Department Store Saturday night, was charged with committing the crime, and a complaint was issued by the Van Nuys office of the district attorney."
