Photograph caption dated August 16, 1963 reads, "Injured Angel outfielder Jim Piersall is the heckler. He's giving former teammate Lock 'the bird' Thursday at Ravine." Photograph article partially reads, "Granted that everything costs a wee bit more these days, but the price the Los Angeles Angels may end up paying for the privilege of having showman Jimmy Piersall wear a halo on his work cap for three weeks may run as high as$808 per game. Currently sitting in the dugout boxes at Chavez Ravine heckling opposing players and resting a torn hamstring muscle in his left leg, the eccentric Piersall may be through for the season. And it's doubtful whether the Angels will invite him to go to spring training next year."
