Photograph caption dated February 6, 1965 reads, "Variety Club Ladies, Tent 25, help make centerpieces for the annual Heart Award Inaugural Ball to be held Feb. 12 in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. From left are Mmes. Russell Mayberry, Woodland Hills; William Loeb, Sherman Oaks, and Jim Hart, Tarzana. Receiving the annual Heart Award will be Bette Davis, Jules Stein, Abe Schneider and Sam Spiegel for their great dedication and contribution to the welfare of handicapped children. George Jessel will be toastmaster. Proceeds will go to the Variety Boys Club in East Los Angeles and the Variety Children's Heart Clinic at UCLA Medical Center."
