Description
This is a photograph looking east. Apartment buildings are on the left and a flatbed truck with a sign reading "L.B. People's Ice Co." sits nearby. There are beachgoers in the waves on the right. Old pilings from a wooden structure stand exposed in the surf. A light layer of organic debris is scattered across the sand. Behind the truck, open beach umbrellas are noted at left. Through the center of the image, a wooden barrier anchored with iron bolts runs parallel to the beach, separating dry sand from the surf's wet sand. In the center at the lower edge of the photograph, a shadow from the top of the photographer's hat can be seen. DATE NOTES: date noted on back. ORIG. IMAGE:5" x 7" B&W Glossy print.
