Description
This float, enterted by San Jose State Teachers College's associated students, and called "The Horse of Troy," symbolized the courage and spirit of Sparta. The horse, which stood 14 feet high, was amassed with white roses and stood on a sled banked in roses varying in shade from deep red to pink. The float is pulled by men dressed in ancient Spartan costumes. The men are holding battle shields. Two men at the front hold a banner which says "The Horse of Troy San Jose State Teachers College." There are houses, crowds of people, and a line of cars in the background.
