Description
Elks Lodge members with v-shaped tunics and adults dressed in military uniforms march along K Street near Tenth beating drums and blowing horns. Businesses along the route include Fox Senator Theatre (912 K Street), Capital Clothing Company (916 K Street), Schramm-Johnson Drugs (930 K Street), Auslender's Women's Clothing (1000 K Street), Watkin's Florist (1002 K Street), Grebitus Jewelers (1004 K Street), and Hotel Land (1106 Tenth Street). An Elks' Club flag is visible near the top of the photograph. A sign near the Hotel Land advertises it as the campaign headquarters of Frank Merriam's race for Governor.
