Description
Photograph of power house from Pacific Railway showing interior view, ca.1903. At center, two large, thing wheels are visible. Several spokes can be found on each wheel to support its massive size. The rim of the wheel on the right appears to be ridged, and thick rope is visible lining the ridge. At the wheel's center, a large axle is visible. On each axle, a large metal cap has been placed on one side. In the extreme foreground to the right, massive metal bars and chains are shown connected to a metal frame surrounding one of the large wheels. This frame connects to the axle of the wheel. In the extreme background, numerous large wheels are visible. Also, several horizontal and vertical support columns can be seen.
