Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Photograph caption dated July 8, 1948 reads, "Boy loses watch and camera, mother loses $9 in cash to bandit trio." Three men held up and robbed Karen Morley of jewelry valued at $384 and $9 at her home, located at 2723 Laurel Canyon Boulevard. Morley's son, Michael, slept through the robbery.
