Photograph caption dated May 1, 1957 reads "Mrs. Mary Alice Jones, 94, of North Hollywood, leafs through publications of DAR on return from convention in Washington, D.C. She traveled by herself, she said, because she meets 'interesting people' that way." Mrs. Jones is the oldest member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Valley Historical Society and the California History and Landmarks Club.
