Description
Pages from scrapbook contain newspaper articles and a colored image of the Shakespeare Jubilee at Stratford-Upon-Avon. Pages also contain other articles related to various theatre performances and mentions names of actor and actresses. Some articles contain handwritten notes that tells the year of publication. Second to last image describes a gift cup to David Garrick made from a Mulberry tree owned by William Shakespeare. Backs of pages contain imprint of pages following. First page contains a handwritten note alleged to be written by David Garrick but disproven in a note collected with materials. Pages were collected by Garrick and assembled by William Upcott whose works, according to notes written by a third hand, remain at the Foster Collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Image scans seven and eight have been rotated ninety degrees to the left.
