Description
Marketing/educational film about Langendorf Bakeries, Inc., produced circa 1945. The company was founded in San Francisco in 1895 by Bernard Langendorf. The firm moved to San Jose in 1926 where it operated out of a small plant on Race Street. In 1952, the bakery moved headquarters to a plant at Seventh Street and Phelan Avenue. Family-owned and operated by Langendorf's sons, with plants from Los Angeles to Seattle, until 1964 when it was sold to American Bakeries, Inc.
