Description
William Garretson, who was held as a suspect in the slayings of actress Sharon Tate and four others, has been released by the Los Angeles police on August 11 due to lack of evidence. Garretson, who was the caretaker at the Tate estate and who claimed to be asleep in garage apartment during slayings, was arrested shortly after the bodies were discovered on the property. Date written on the verso is August 16, 1963, though this was written in error and should be 1969.
