Title supplied by cataloger. The Festival of Masks was created in the mid-1970s by the Craft and Folk Art Museum (CAFAM) to celebrate the diverse heritage of Los Angeles and to provide an arena for cross-cultural exchange. The 7th Annual festival, a two-day event held in Hancock Park on October 23-24, 1982, was coordinated by CAFAM, Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, and the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Department. Festival events included masked dance, theater and music performance, international cuisine and displays, and maskmaking demonstrations and workshops.
