“Chogoria staff.” Group portrait of dressers and nurses standing in a long row outside. By 1949 the staffing level at the Chogoria hospital consisted of twenty male dressers and twenty four female nurses, the senior hospital assistant was Jackson Chabari (far left) who retired in 1950 and later returned as a Dispenser. ❧ The image is from the collection of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) showing the period from 1928-1961 at the Chogoria mission which was established in 1922.
