Photograph article dated February 9, 1963 partially reads, "A young Van Nuys girl stood barefooted on a narrow ledge atop the Van Nuys City Hall early today, threatening to jump before a policeman in a safety harness pulled her to safety. Dana Roberts Slater, 19, 7017 Hayvenhurst Ave., said she couldn't force herself to jump, but hoped she would fall. She was taken to the psychiatric ward of General Hospital for mental examination." Officer Lee Kirkwood calms Dana Slater, as he pulled her back from the eight-story ledge at Van Nuys City Hall.
