Photograph of the ruins of the Mission Nuestra Señora de la Soledad, San Diego, ca.1898. The roof has crumbled in and the bricks of the adobe walls are visible from behind cracking spackle to either side. The roof beams remain above, although most of them bow downward, and the last in the series of four has broken in half. Terracotta tiles from the roof fill the space between the walls. Along with fallen roof beams. Door openings can be seen in both the left and right wall, although no doors are present.
