Description
V1p280b In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 280 center. This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Text written under photo: "League of the Cross Band. Ball Ground G.G. Park 1917." Photo shows the band of the League of the Cross cadet regiment which, according to the drumhead, had something to do with the Panama-Pacific Exposition. The members of the band appear to be in their 20s and 30s although one seems quite a bit younger. All are dressed smartly in uniform. other activities seem to be going on in the ball field.
