Photograph of a panoramic view of Stanford University, ca.1900. Trees spot a field in the foreground with a thin road on the right the runs on the right side of what appears to be a lake that occupies the length of the university behind it. Several roads emerge from the foreground and cross the lake to the tall archway of the university at center. On either side of the archway are large buildings with archways cut into the their front walls. Beyond the front side, the steeple of the memorial church stands slightly to the right of the tall archway with a tree-covered hillside in the background.
