The Buena Vista library opened in July 1948 and served the community for over 50 years. A new Buena Vista library opened across the street at 300 N. Buena Vista St. in 2002. This photo, likely from the 1960s, shows the entrance of the library's children’s department, with a sign to the right of the glass door reading “boys and girls department.” There are crop marks on the photo.
