Inside view of St. Anthony Catholic Church, built in 1955 and located at 1901 S. San Gabriel Blvd in the city of San Gabriel. Photo shows a long stained glass window depicting a large image of St. Paul. St. Paul the Apostle, together with St. Peter, was the most notable of Early Christian missionaries. Unlike the Twelve Apostles, Paul did not know Jesus in life, but stressed that his apostolic authority was based on his vision of the risen Jesus. His influence on Christian thinking has, arguably, been more significant that any other single author of the New Testament. He is the second most prolific contributor to the New Testament (after Luke). Roman Catholic tradition holds that Paul was interred with Saint Peter. Photo dated: December 23, 2006.
