Description
Photograph caption dated June 25, 1965 reads, "Passersby need no longer be curious about a new 25-foot flagpole and flag flown at 17140 Nordhoff St. in Northridge. It belongs to George C. Dames, 69, and his wife, Inez. The couple moved recently from Burbank. Dames was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in World War I for saving the life of Gen. John J. Pershing.
