Photograph caption dated March 19, 1957 reads, "Jerome Hoernig, Reseda import-export hobbyist, puzzles over 2,000-year-old stone idol whose origin Hoernig is trying to determine. Said to be from South Pacific, statue was obtained from Harvey Howard of San Fernando."
