Description
Image of United States Marshal for the Southern District of California Albert Sittel sitting with an unidentified boy on his lap, possibly his grandson Albert Sittel Knott, in an office surrounded by congratulatory flowers including one with the words "Al Sittel U.S. Marshal," presumably following his election as Marshal.
Title devised by cataloger based on note on original negative sleeve as it was received: "Al Sittel, U.S. Marshal." Date approximated by cataloger based on general history of subject; Sittel was elected U.S. Marshal in 1922, 1926, and 1930.
