Description
Group portrait in front of Hotel Casa de Vallejo. Chinese American men, women and children in center; on either end of line, musicians in uniform (possibly Vallejo High School band?)
2014-3411.
General Tsai Ling Kai was commander of the 19th Chinese Route Army, defended Shanghai. Visited Vallejo, calling on Mayor Fred Heegler. Was entertained at Hotel Casa de Vallejo by local Chinese American community, luncheon included Rear Admiral Y. S. Williams, commandant at Mare Island.
