Photograph caption dated May 26, 1961 reads, "Six North Hollywood Campfire Girls spell out 'Thank You' with samples of the boxes of candy they have been selling to Valley residents. The girls wanted to express their appreciation for the successful selling program. They are, rear row, left to right, Michelle McIntyre, 14; Carol Haaland, 11, and Christine McConnell, 14. Front, left to right, are Christy Shinn, 9; Mary Ann Schaper, 11, and Diana Herten, 10."
