View of an old fountain at Rancho La Merced in Montebello, [s.d.]. The fountain is at center and is made of concrete and surrounded by stones. There are two tiers from which water can pour down into the bottom basin. There is a stone planter running around the circumference of the fountain, and it is full of small plants. The area around the fountain is taken up by large plants and trees, and a series of short round bushes is in the foreground. Photoprint reads: "Sanchez lost this rancho li [sic] Lucky Baldwin. Montebello -- old fountain of Rancho La Merced". Nowadays, the Juan Matias Sanchez adobe's adress is 946 N Adobe Ave., Montebello, CA 90640.
