Photograph caption dated April 18, 1956 reads "One of the young standout basketball teams in the San Fernando Valley is the Hot Shots, coached and managed by Willis Arrington. In the past two years the Hot Shots have won 61 out of 69 games and this past season had a record of 32 wins and five losses. This group of Valley youngsters won the Burbank Park and Recreation 'A' League crown; the Van Nuys playground league; the Los Angeles Parks and Recreation Valley Division championship and second in the recent citywide playoffs. The future stars are, front row, from left, Glen Gale, Denny Monypeny, Jess Barraza, team captain; Don Fluke and Bruce Peterik; back row, Gary Stevens, Bruce Loughner, Bill Wachter and Coach Arrington."
