Betsy Fawcett writes a response letter to Edmund Kean, saying: "I cannot think it possible the answer I received on Thursday from the Theatre came from your own lips." Fawcett repeats her request for money as she suffers. She promises never to contact Edmund again if he meets with her or sends "a favorable answer." Letter contains a watermark and a wax seal. Letter has been attached to another sheet for support. Sheet contains secondhand notations. Third image scan has been rotated 90 degrees to the right. Betsy Fawcett's full name is written beneath an address and appears upside down.
