The image is part of a 1993 photographic exhibition called 'The Changing Face of Santa Monica' held at the Ken Edwards Center. The show featured some 200 photographs by the students, staff and alumni of Santa Monica College Photography Department. It was the result of a nine-month collaboration between social services agencies, Arts Commissions of Santa Monica, Santa Monica College, the RAND; with the support of Santa Monica's Human Services Division. The photographers captured the services provided at day care facilities, health clinics, schools, shelters --- virtually anywhere people gathered for social service and education reasons.
