Photograph caption dated January 30, 1961 reads "Ernest E. Debs, left, chairman of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, presents two high school students the proclamation declaring Jan. 29-Feb. 4 Junior Achievement Week. Accepting are Tom Wallace, 17, right, 4001 Stone Canyon, Sherman Oaks, president of Lock-Jo Junior Achievement Co., and president of the Metropolitan Council of Achievers Association in Southern California, and at center, Miss Jackijean Hanlon, 16, 2719 E. 58th St., Huntington Park, who is president of the Bar-B-Q Buddi Junior Achievement Co." Junior Achievement is a non-profit youth organization formed in 1919 to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy.
