Ambulance men are Roland Hodges (left) and Wawyne Barkhouse. 82: Mrs. Ruth Beckstrom, 25, of 1507 Penmar ave., Venice, who gave birth to baby boy at 4:11 a.m. and voted at 4:11 p.m. is taken down narrow stairway from her polling place by ambulance attendants Roland Hodges (at head of stretcher) and Wayne Barkhouse. She was transported from St. John's hospital, Santa Monica, to her precinct in ambulance".
