B. Inoue, of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd., writes Kenneth Hopper saying that his itinerary has slightly changed due to Hopper's visiting purposes becoming more clear. He informs Hopper that he has requested Mr. Yamashita to establish his contact with him on September 10th. Inoue reports that since the 1973 oil crisis, there are fears that another sharp oil hike may bring slack business to Japan. Because of this, his company is trying to strengthen its corporate structure. Inoue closes by asking Hopper what he means by "management culture" and asks to have it in writing. The letter contains Inoue's signature. The letter also contains a handwritten "6" on the top, right corner of page 1 and a marking.
