1989-1345. In: [Scenes of Sacramento] [manuscript] / Eugene Walter Hepting. [Sacramento, Calif. : E. Hepting, 1938?], Vol. D, leaf 6. On left leafless branches of trees mingle with palm trees lead to tall structure with lantern on top; on right older structure with rounded and angular bay windows on 2nd & 3rd floors with "Coast Radio Center" on ground level; lower 2 story buildings continue down street with multi-story tall structure dominating the view. Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento. " 9th & Jay street, Looking East. Cal. Western States Life Bldg. right, erected in 1923-24. Ruhstaller Bldg., right, corner of 9th. Erected in 1894, remodled in 1904."
