Photograph caption dated September 7, 1963 reads, "He shot 25-year-old robber after struggle over victim's gun." Goan shot suspect Alton Ray Hooker in the back as he ran from the Oxford Liquor Store. Mr. Hooker died on his way to the hospital. Goan's father owns Oxford Liquor Store located at 7929 Van Nuys Blvd., Van Nuys, CA.
