He attended school in North Hollywood, served as student body president at North Hollywood High School in 1954 and later held student offices while attending Valley College in Van Nuys. He recently resigned as finance director for Young Americans for Freedom to cover the Viet Nam war on a freelance basis. His stay in Viet Nam is indefinite."
