Description
The scanning disk portion of the Western Television Corporation of Chicago Visionette mechanical television. This flying spot scanner was likely produced in 1929 and was part of the first commercial 17-inch disk TV receiver sold in the U.S. The scanner sold in kit form for $88.25 and used interlaced scanning.
