Description
Attending the dedication of Charles LeRoy Lowman School for the Physically Handicapped, located at 12815 Saticoy Street in North Hollywood, are Dr. Alexander J. Stoddard, superintendent of Los Angeles city schools standing at rear left; Dr. Lowman, director of education at Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital, for whom the school as named, is at rear center; his wife, Mrs. Lowman is at front, right; an unidentified woman stands at front left, possibly the new principal for the school, Mrs. Elma Brown, and an unidentified man is at rear right. Photograph dated May 24, 1950.
