A white placket laced with blue adorns the bodice and is complemented by a white strip down the front of the skirt that is similarly decorated in blue. The woman wears blue shoes and a white, turban style hat trimmed with blue flowers and tied with a blue bow. She wears a ruffled, black gauze wrap around her shoulders. Her left hand appears to be pulling a short, white glove over her right hand. The woman on the left wears a long, empire waist, blue checked dress with short sleeves and a small train. She wears a long ruffled white shawl around her shoulders, and a yellow hat tied with a yellow bow. Her shoes are flat and have been painted the same light brown as the floor.
