Photograph of the interior of the Cathedral, Mexico City, Mexico, ca.1905-1910. The pulpit is in the right foreground. Banners hang down from the ceiling (not visible). "...This is a magnificent high altar supported by marble columns, and surrounded by a Tombago balustrade with 62 statues of the same rich gold, silver and copper alloy serving as candelabra. The elaborately carved choir is also enclosed by Tombago railing weighing 26 tons, and valued at $1,500,000." (ca.1905)
