This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
View of five men at a table looking at papers identified left to right in written text below the photo. Text written under photo: M.H. De Young, R.B. Hale, R.J. Taussig, A.W. Scott. Louis Sloss." Michael H. De Young was publisher of the San Francisco Chronicle. Reuben Brooks Hale was Secretary and Treasurer of Hale Bros., Inc. which operated the Hale Bros. chain of stores. Rudolph J. Taussig was president of Louis Taussig & Co. A.W. Scott operated a hay and grain concern, and Louis Sloss was involved with the Alaska Commercial Company.
